About Me

I am a seasoned language instructor and media professional with over twenty years of experience in teaching, translation, and broadcasting. Residing in Taiwan since 2009, I’ve dedicated my career to the spoken and written word, working as a teacher, translator, writer, and editor. My bilingual proficiency (English/Chinese) has led to hosting multiple radio shows and educational programs, and I’ve had the honor of attending prestigious events like the Golden Horse and Golden Bell awards.

My love for languages began in grade school with Latin and expanded to Russian and eventually Chinese, which inspired my eventual move to Asia. My extensive linguistic studies have provided me with a deep understanding of grammar, structure, and syntax, and I’m able to teach complex grammatical concepts in an approachable, clear way. My teaching experience spans all age groups, from kindergarten students to university lectures and large conferences.

Recently, I’ve also delved into cybersecurity, data security, and data governance, attending the Carruthers and Jackson Summer School 2024. I write content for a data management organization, blending my linguistic skills with technical industry insights.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I’m an avid reader and music enthusiast. I’ve spent the past 12 years writing and lecturing on classical music, including hosting a podcast, writing concert reviews, and interviewing artists. I currently live in Taipei, where I continue to explore and share my passion for language and culture.
